Hotel Santa Marta, opened in 1991, has always been directed by C.I.T.O. srl, a society for the enhancement of tourism in the Phlegrean fields, an area of peculiar naturalistic interest and endowed with an invaluable archaelogical inheritance. The name of the hotel, Santa Marta, recalls an ancient "xenodochius" (or house for the reception of pilgrims) with the same name which rose on the coast and was distroyed by the eruption of Monte Nuovo in 1538.

The restaurant can provide fast and efficient meal services for tourist groups on excursion in the archaeological sites of the Phlegrean fields. Santa Marta restaurant can meet any special needs from work lunches to banquets and formal dinners with a fair quality-price ratio.

One child from 4 to 12 years is charged 80 % of the room stay per night and person in an extra bed. One further child from 4 to 12 years is charged 70 % of the room stay per night and person in an extra bed. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
